This series of mini tummies are initially a response to having been pregnant and my creating belly casts directly on pregnant women. These miniatures, sculpted in plasticine were tiny and delicate to create, each representation becoming evolution of the other. The belly form influenced ideas of clothing outfits; like a t-shirt or a grid dress, then was hollowed out or became a face or gained a skirt flap, changed into a drill bit, then a contemporary form, or a belly profile. Each piece could be mounted on a frame or several, which were bronzed, worn as a pendant.
