Modeled using a live figure, this sculpture was made in clay building on top of a simple chicken wire form. Being part of small group of artists in Tino Petronzio’s sculpting school, we were privileged to roll our large tables at different angles around the model each week for 8 months in order to perfect this sculpture. The casted version in pictures below show the one copy of fibreglass and resin.. While this piece is for sale, a mold can be created and poured again, perhaps one day in bronze (for an interested buyer). I adored working life size and challenged by trying to make the sculpture believable and as if she could actually breathe.
