I’m definitely influenced by the wonkiness, playfulness and daringness of Cirque de Soleil performers and their use of props. Welding these objects together, celebrates the fun, invites humour and my love of asymmetrical objects. I also enjoy Calder, the inventor of mobiles and so many kinetic sculptures. The small versions of the chairs inspired me to make the lifesize chair sculptures entitled JUGGLING ACT I (located in Cote D’ardoise Vineyard, Dunham, Quebec) which comprises of 6 white chairs and JUGGLING ACT III (version II was dismantled) and now resides outdoors in NDG, Montreal.
