This sculpture was created in memory of a much loved blue Parrotlet. I’ve incorporated drawing on metal pipes using a mig to achieve bark-like texture and then formed the bird with scrap metal parts welded on top of a small armature in the shape of a bird. A small blue glass bead was included as a reminder of the bird’s feathers colour . A special feature was that the mouth can be rolled open and closed!!
